Creating a new Moodle course

Originally from ticket #26.

Carol would like to start a second Art Foundations Moodle course in preparation for the move to Design Foundations next year. She is testing much of the new curriculum this semester. She thought it was easier to start fresh, but keep the old page around for art staff to see the former class resources.

We don't want to confuse the current students by calling it Design Foundations now. I am assuming it is easy to rename the new Moodle course in the fall. Also, Colleen, what is the new course number? When Carol used 701, it would not allow her to set up the new Moodle course.

Courses can be created by teachers. Just navigate to the department you would like to create the new course in through the course menu and you will see the create course button at the bottom of the page. The name of an existing course can be changed through the administration menu. Just click on settings and you can change it right there.
